Temple for Lord Guberan

Self and some other friends went to a concept temple for Lord Guberan this morning. The temple is situated some 4-5KMs inside next to Vandalur zoo's compound. One's wealth is supposed to increase when you offer prayers to him regularly.

Temple is located at a small place called rathina mangalam. Temple is small but got some elegant and unique gods like Lord Ganesha with Lakshmi, Brahmma with Saraswathy.
It was a small homely temple and I liked it.

Crisis over Indian Air

Indian Airlines is in financial trouble... Praful Patil was the aviation minister during last term too. He could have pro-actively did something which he failed to do. Sad to see a good minister could not save a situation.

Atleast, he could have levied uniform tax for aviation fuel across India which is outatanding for the past 3 years or so.

Private airlines are badly placed to handle the crisis as they cant expected to get a bail out fron government. They are neither together nor cash rich. They are failing miserably to draw support and the strike move is a sad idea from crisis corrupted mind.

Let us see how Indian Airlines bail out plan would shape out before passing judgement on Praful's performance.

CommonWealth Games - Delhi 2010

Commonwealth games to be held in New Delhi in October 2010. But there is no clear information available on readyness so far by the authorities.

Metro pillar collappse, airport water logging and severe traffic jams due to 2 hour of heavy rain yesterday does not indicate anything positive.

Will the Sports committee would release item wise status?

Sensex in hot zone - 15250

I wrote the following in July after budget...

Advantage

1. FMCG (ITC, Lever, Dabur), Tech (Infy, Wipro, TCS), Pharma (Cipla, Ranbaxy)

Disadvantage

1. Banks

Sensex might move in the range of 12,000 to 14,000 for the next couple of months. Outperformance days when compared to global trend would come down.

What happened

Global earnings report card was better than what was imagined earlier, hence markets all around the world rallied significantly. I was right in identifying the sectors successfully but faltered in sensex.

What now

Auto ancillary stocks looks good Motherson Sumi, Amtek Auto and Exide might outperform in over next 30 days. Sensex would top out around 16300 - 16800 range in august. I predict that we will have a much awaited correction.

Ayyoda.... can we simplify life ?

QIP

Recent trend of corporates coming out with QIP raises some pertinent questions:

1. Is the corporates starved of funds?
2. Did they borrow heavily earlier?
3. Is there a probability for asset - liability mismatch?
4. Could there be a long term solvency issue?
5. What could have happened if the stock markets did not improve?

Is the board of directors considering all these pertinent questions or they are simply playing along?
