Music Review of Pokkisham
Movie Name - Pokkisham
Music - Sabesh - Murali
Overall Rating - Must Listen
Cheran's movies always deliver some surprise. Music of Pokkisham is full of melody, soft tunes. No kuthu tune, no vulgar or double meaning words.
Meaningful lyrics which require tamil knowledge will smoothen your mind. Very good album indeed. Only negative feel of the album is Vijay Yesudos's so so pronunciation. Go for it !

Men's Clothing Brand
Thambi: Anna, i am confused after seeing the men's collections.
Anna: What is your confusion... what to buy or what not to buy?
Thambi: No., Why all the names sound like some westener? and what is the difference between them?
Anna: Oh., that is nothing. All of them make clothing in broad ranges... from 600 to 9k. The feel is bit different but the quality is mostly good.
Thambi: I dont get it still
Anna: Allan Solly is the father of all as he is there from 1750s. Louis Philippe is his son as he is there from 1790s. Their cousin brothers started with Arrow around 1850s and van Heusen around 1890s.
Thambi: Whaaatttt?
Anna: Wait until complete. Their chinna veedu relationship brought a poor brand called Peter England. Machaan (brother in law) brand like Austin Reed came to existence around 1900s. But the thaai maaman brand like Levis and their Chinese affairs brought Lee .....
Thambi: Ayyo Ayyo., Pls leave me !

Play Review - K Balachander's Pournami
K Balachander has made a come back to stage play, drama with "Pournami". I watched it yesterday in Narada Gana Sabha.
Lot of chennai's celebrities were present as it was 3rd performance like news reader Varadarajan, Actor Y G Mahendran, Musician Rajesh Vaidya . Veteran KB was also present along with audience.
The play Pournami dwells on one family and its exposure to one political act, and how the family rises to the occasion. The play is bit serious and deals with contemporary issue - Indo - Pak relationship. It is two hour long play.
Dialogues are powerful and simple. One single set is used through the play and it is quite good. The lighting is very impressive and reflects the various moods of the characters. Performance of the artists is good and i liked the son "sundar's" role very much.

NSE's removal of F & O Stocks
NSE decided to remove 50 stocks from F & O. I welcome this move. NSE has taken this decision after Akruti's trading mess. This move is better late than never.
Let us hope, the new inclusions would follow some methodical approach, criteria rather than driven by simple volume statistics.

Political campaign 1 - titbits
Political campaign is in full swing across the country. My thoughts, reaction as follows:
1. Congress on Kandahar episode - Sad. Congress should focus on job losses, economy i.e how to take India forward rather than talking about some dead issue. This attitude shows Congres shying away from real issues.
2. BJP On Varun episode - Dividing the country on communal lines is strictly bad. Deriving mileage out of it is even more bad. But the Media was so happy to talk about it more than anyone. Media did the marketing and not BJP.
3. LTTE issue dominated the TN campaign. No one is sure how the voters are going to go. DMK Chief's statement on LTTE reflected confusion.
4. Sharad Pawar could be dark horse post result scenario.

The "T" Factor - Tagged !
Took this tagging from Uniquely Priya ! I liked this tag at the first instance., still wondering why !!!!!
My list of favourites beginning with ‘T’:
1) Travel: I like travelling. I love going to new places, meeting new people, learn some good things from every place.
2) Tummy: Something i like as long as it is in control. My tummy is good and not big. It has come to some shape in the last 8 years or so. I am not able to lose my little tummy through my normal, homely work-outs although.
3) Television: I love TV especially to watch sports like cricket, tennis, F1, CNBC. I don't think, i can live with out TV at this point of my life.
4) Tunes: Music is what i relax with. Any type of music, genres are good as long as they are little creative than monotonous.
5) Tiny Tots: I love them. The way they look, talk, smile, laugh, feel, smell – I love everything. I just love the feeling when a child talks to me, or places his/her little hand in mine, or takes my lap - completely trusting me.
6) Taste: I eat only for taste. I don't care how much calorie it has. I freak out as long as i like and it taste good on my tongue / mind.
7) Tricks: I love watching tricks performed in TV shows like a kid even now. Fascinating !
8 ) Typical: I don't like being "typical" being. I want to be a practical in my approach to carry out my life.
9) Two to tango: means that two people in a fight are both responsible for that fight. So I look at life in this approach and practice restraint.
That’s all I could think of from ‘T’!!
