Chennai witnessed worst ever traffic jam on Oct 24, 2008 - Thanks to rain, human chain organised in support of srilankan tamils etc...
Entire police force was keen to protect politicians - result public stranded on the streets for hours and decided to walk !!!
Actually, the traffic jam chain was far bigger than human chain. Long live the attitude to hold the city to ransom at every given opportunity by politicians.
