Yeah.......I've heard the same from one of my friends. My question is How can Karunanidhi or some other politician change this New Year Day....as its usually according to the Tamil calender na??? If its changed it'll be against the Tamil calender na??? Can u just tell me somemore about that matter?
Pongal is the harvest festival of tamil nadu. It is celebrated with lot of fun for 3 days. Apr 14 is the new year as per tamil calendar. MK tried moving the tamil new year to 14 without disturbing the calendar. But there was not muted support for this move.
