India leads road accidents

Around 300 accidents happen in India everyday. This is a new world record and the deaths arising out of these accidents overtake the combined death of AIDS, Malaria & Typhoid.

Gross negligence, indiscipline among drivers could be attributed as major cause behind the new world record set by India.

So, Drive carefully, slowly and ensure your vehicle is always insured.

You may be the best driver but it need not be useful at all !!!

COurtesy BBC "In 2006 - the latest year for which figures are available - more than 100,000 people died, and an estimated 2,000,000 were seriously injured.

The economic and social costs of these shocking figures are enormous.

India loses 3% of its GDP to road crashes every year. Many of the deaths happen in rural areas, and one study found that 70% of families who lose their main wage earner in a traffic accident subsequently fall below the poverty line."
